How was the African Expedition’09 summer day-camp?

In our second spring girls and boys enjoyed a few days filled with enjoyable activities. They talked with the zoo keepers to learn all about the animals in Bioparc. The gardeners told them all about the plants. The educators played stimulating games, did fun activities and shared exciting adventures with them.

How was the African Expedition’09 Easter day-camp?

Last Easter was something different for the children participating in the African Expedition at Bioparc. Children 6 to 12 years of age spent four days as real explorers, solving a mystery. They became young biologists that got to know the fauna and flora in the big city while visiting a Valencian park. They were able to closely observe the behaviour of primates and to participate in producing a conservation project celebrating The Year of the Gorilla.

How was the African Expedition’08 Christmas day-camp?

The children enjoyed a week doing something absolutely different last Christmas. They got to know something about how Christmas is celebrated in other places, especially in Africa. They learned about African culture – its legends, music, dance and cuisine, and explored the animal and plant wonders of the African continent.

How was the African Expedition’08 summer day-camp?

As voyagers on a very special trip, the participants of the African Expedition’08 summer day-camp experienced Africa in the big city. Boys and girls 6 to 12 years of age spent 6 days in Bioparc discovering plants, animals and places of the African continent while becoming familiar with nature close by at the same time.

They also had the opportunity to learn about already extinct life, travelling far back through time. They got to know unique animals and discover the marvels of the African continent. They played games and participated in other activities based on respect for, conservation and love of nature.

There will be new opportunities to discover Africa, its landscapes and the plants and animals that live in surroundings that reflect respect, conservation and love of nature while never leaving Valencia.
