Nearly 350 participants between 4 and 12 years old will enjoy the BIOPARC Valencia holiday school.
With practically all the places filled since registration opened in April, the day has finally arrived and this morning the first group of participants came to BIOPARC with all the excitement of starting this summer's edition of Africa Expedition. As a novelty this year it has been divided between “Little ADVENTURE” for Early Childhood Education ages and “GREAT ADVENTURE” for Primary, with the aim of optimally adapting the different activities to their different ages and needs. This week begins with the theme The Lost Talisman and the next will focus on Thief of Legends, so that families can choose between a week or fifteen days, always with the culmination on Fridays with the exciting “Night in the savanna”. The Infant ages will have this extraordinary experience until 22 p.m. and the Primary ages will extend it until Saturday morning, after the unforgettable “camping out.”

This dynamic will continue until July 20 with a total attendance of about 350 girls and boys. The team of professionals at Education deparment BIOPARC has prepared, as every year, a complete and varied program of the renowned Vacation School. With the transversal axis of fun (since it is necessary to enjoy summer leisure to the fullest), Learning is the heart of Expedition Africa in a park whose emblem is “leisure with a cause”. All of this with the aim that they can feel and share from an early age the love for nature, learn the importance of caring for and conserving the most endangered species on our planet and their habitats and transfer this knowledge and the need to promote a collective commitment as only way to a hopeful future.
Games, workshops, fun, collaborating in animal care tasks or the exciting “Night in the Savannah” make up this recognized activity that aims to transmit love and respect for animals and nature.
Daily from 9 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon Thematic games, gymkhanas, workshops, summer pool and group dynamics await you. Among the most attractive activities is everything related to learning how BIOPARC works. If being able to access the internal areas of one of the best animal parks in the world is already fascinating, it is even more so to be able to do it with the help of the technical staff and discover its secrets of animal Care to guarantee maximum well-being for the different species. In this way they will collaborate in the environmental enrichments, preparation of diets for animals, visits to internal spaces, talks with specialists and scientific experiments.
