Environmental decalogue
- 1. Use only what is necessary avoiding waste and over use.
- 2. Re-use when possible avoiding unnecessary consumption thus reducing waste.
- 3. Always recycle at home convincing friends and family members to do the same.
- 4. Care for my environment: don’t litter, use rubbish bins and containers and properly dispose of my pet’s waste.
- 5. Don’t waste energy: switch off lights when not in use and moderate the temperature of heating and air conditioning.
- 6. Save water whenever possible, ever drop is a valuable resource. Showering instead of bathing saves water.
- 7. Choose your mode of transportation wisely and ecologically: use public transportation or better yet walk or cycle; they’re great ways of getting exercise.
- 8. Avoid using products that are harmful to the environment such as those containing toxins or aerosols substituting those for products which are eco-friendly.
- 9. Respect, protect and care for nature and its plants and animals.
- 10. Always choose learning, solidarity and civic pride. These will help me to respect and help others, nature and myself.
